I remember hearing on TV about the death of Princess Diana. No one knew exactly how she passed except she died in a car accident. Later that day rumors and trickles of information had started to circulate the Internet. I recall the outpouring of grief, the bleak outlook, how something so tragic could happen to such a good person.

Her funeral on 6 September 1997 was broadcast and watched by an estimated 2.5 billion people worldwide.
